Life Detox book by Niamh Hislop
Our lives have become busier and more crowded with infinite choice and ceaseless demands than ever before. This book was written under lockdown during the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020, following severe bushfires that saw over 18 million hectares of Australia destroyed, along with it almost 6,000 buildings and a billion animals lives lost.
And most recently people all over the world are protesting in retaliation to George Floyd’s death at the hands of a police officer in the United States. This book therefore was written with a response to a sense of overwhelm and a desire to simplify and purify that which is under our control. It’s meant as a practical guide that will help the reader take small steps towards a healthier, happier life.
The author, Niamh Hislop, uses her knowledge and understanding of the systems of the body and how each system interacts with another, gained from her nursing experience, to explain the physical effects of some of the choices we make in our lives.
She also believes that Nursing is one of the best teachers in the study of human behaviour.
Her decade-long experience in healthcare marketing means she is vigilant in sourcing facts from trusted sources. And her passion for wholistic health and wellness have inspired this book. It is her hope that these words help you to find calm and wellness in your life.
